Equine reproduction depends on information moving accurately between many people.

A single breeding cycle may involve veterinarians, breeding staff, clients, stallion owners, outside laboratories, and recipient-mare facilities. Each party needs different information from the same underlying records.

When those records are divided among phone calls, group texts, spreadsheets, and separate systems, staff repeat updates, inventory changes require reconciliation, billing becomes harder to verify, and outside partners may be working from information that has already changed.

Every feature in Wise Option's Equine Reproduction solution is designed to keep your workflow connected, accurate, and efficient. Among the many tools available, these three features are often overlooked at first—but they consistently become some of our users' favorites.

### Shared Reproduction Logs Give Clients the Right Visibility

Clients naturally want to know what is happening with their horses, embryos, and stored reproductive material. But high-volume reproduction work can produce more updates than either the facility or client wants to manage through individual calls, emails, and texts.

Wise Option’s Shared Reproduction Logs make selected information available through the customer portal. Clients can review breeding information, embryo-transfer records, aspiration or ICSI statuses, and current frozen-semen or vitrified-embryo inventory.

*Figure 1: Shared Reproduction Log, Vitrified Inventory Log*

- Client self-service updates
- High-volume account communication
- customizable access and permission controls

That gives clients a dependable place to check current information without requiring the office to recreate the same update every time someone asks.

Access is controlled per customer. Facilities can decide which clients will benefit from portal visibility and which relationships are better served through another communication approach.

The result is not less communication. It is more useful communication that gives clients access while reducing daily pressure on staff.

### Frozen Semen and Vitrified Embryo Inventory

Managing frozen semen and vitrified embryo inventory is about much more than knowing what's in storage. Every shipment, embryo transfer, and breeding event affects inventory levels, and keeping those records accurate is essential for both daily operations and financial performance. Wise Option automatically connects these workflows, updating inventory as transactions occur so your team always has an accurate, real-time view without manual reconciliation. The result is a seamless workflow where a single update flows throughout the system, helping every department work from the same reliable information.

Most valuable for:

- Accurate frozen semen and vitrified embryo inventory tracking
- Flexible storage-rate billing
- Fewer missed charges

The same information supports storage billing. Facilities can establish rates around their own agreements, then use the inventory maintained inside Wise Option to calculate charges and create invoices at the end of the chosen billing period.

This helps address two costly problems at once: uncertain inventory and storage revenue that is difficult to recover.

Without a practical billing process, some facilities may avoid charging for storage or rely on flat fees that do not reflect how much material each client holds. Wise Option allows the operational record to become the foundation for a more consistent and defensible financial process.

### Connection Links Keep Outside Laboratories in the Workflow

Aspiration and ICSI introduce another layer of coordination because important stages may occur outside the primary facility.

An outside laboratory may be tracking oocytes, injection, cleavage, embryo development, freezing, transfer, or discarded material. When those updates move through long text threads or repeated calls, it becomes easier to confuse dates, stallions, aspirations, and individual embryos.

Wise Option’s Aspiration and ICSI Laboratory Connection Links give outside partners a secured access to a specific case they are working on. Through an interactive form, the laboratory or recipient-mare facility can update relevant statuses, and that information can return to the centralized Wise Option workflow.

Most valuable for:

- Secured and seamless coordination
- Current oocyte and embryo statuses, no data re-entry needed
- Less duplicate communication

*Figure 3: Updated ICSI Facility Portal*

This reduces duplicate data entry and gives the primary facility a clearer source of data. Staff can spend less time requesting updates from the laboratory before repeating the same information to the client.

The laboratory, facility, and customer remain separate participants without fragmented information between them.

### One Update Should Keep the Entire Workflow Moving

Shared Reproduction Logs, Frozen Inventory with Storage Billing, and Aspiration and ICSI Connection Links each solve a distinct operational problem. Their larger value appears in how they work together.

- An outside laboratory can update a case.
- The facility can maintain the connected reproductive record.
- The client can see the information intended for them.
- Stored frozen semen and vitrified embryos inventory that supports billing.

That is the connection complex equine reproduction requires: fewer handoffs built on memory, fewer records recreated in different places, and greater confidence that everyone is working from current information.

Wise Option does more than collect reproduction data. It helps that data move through the operation—supporting staff, clients, outside partners, inventory, and revenue as one coordinated workflow.
