Wise Option Spark: AI that Puts Privacy First

Written by Ellie Templeton | Nov 18, 2025 7:59:49 AM

Artificial intelligence is everywhere, but not all AI is built with equine business’ realities in mind. At Wise Option, we have taken our time because we wanted to do it right. Today we are sharing what is coming, why privacy sits at the center of our approach, and how you will use Wise Option Spark inside Wise Option 7.

Why we waited

Veterinary practices work with sensitive client and patient information. If a tool sends identifiable data to a third party, you can wander into a liability problem without realizing it. Many software vendors openly say their business model is the data itself. That may be fine for entertainment apps. It is not fine for medical records.

Wise Option Spark is built and controlled by Wise Option. Our developers, our codebase, our quality control. We do use a top tier AI model, but we do not send real names or identifiable information to other companies.

How privacy actually works

Before any request leaves your environment, Wise Option replaces private fields with placeholders. Think of it as a mediator layer. The AI only ever sees obfuscated tokens for items like client name and horse name. When the result comes back, Wise Option swaps those placeholders back to the correct values on your side. Real identities never leave your system.

Two more privacy foundations matter here. Each practice has its own database. Your data is not pooled with other clinics. And Spark actions are fully auditable. Managers can review who used AI, when they used it, what the input looked like, what the output returned, and whether the result was published to a client facing document.

What you can use first

Phase one is scribing and document generation in Wise Option 7, our browser based platform. You will be able to feed notes from an exam, a procedure, a client call, or a discharge and receive a clean, well structured draft. We will ship ready to use prompts for common workflows such as sports medicine and reproduction, and you can create your own prompt templates to match your style. You always review and approve. AI is a head start, not a replacement for clinical judgment.

Phase two adds voice. Dictate instead of typing and let Spark transcribe and generate the draft with medical vocabulary support. We will invite beta testers and begin with a trial period at no cost.

Phase three is the exciting long term work. Spark will help you ask thoughtful questions of your own historical data. Trends across seasons, outcomes by procedure type, receivables behavior, inventory movement patterns, and more. Because each practice has its own database, Spark focuses on your environment first and keeps boundaries clear.

Phase four, if users want it and privacy standards are ironclad, brings optional benchmarking. You would see how your totals compare against anonymized peers without exposing identities or case level details.

Cost that matches usage

AI is not free to run, and usage varies by role and clinic. Charging per user would not be fair if three people use Spark daily and the rest barely touch it. Instead, Spark uses tokens. Inputs and outputs consume tokens, and larger reports use more. Practices purchase a token bundle and can authorize which users have access. You can start small, monitor consumption with built in reports, and auto replenish if Spark becomes part of your daily flow. During beta there will be a free period to explore.

Optional by design

If you do not want AI, you do not have to enable it. If you only want a few team members to try it, you can do that. Spark is on demand and configurable by practice and user.

What to watch for in the industry

If a vendor says a powerful feature is free, stop and ask why. When there is no price tag, the value may be the data you hand over. Read the terms. Confirm how PHI (Protected Health Information) and client identities are handled. Confirm whether your data is segregated from other customers. Confirm who can reuse your content and for what purpose.

Why this matters

Spark is about making your team faster, sharper, and more consistent without trading away privacy. Cleaner reports. Better discharge instructions. Legible histories. Less time wrangling notes. More time on the parts of your business that need your attention. And when you want deeper insights, Spark will help you ask better questions of the data you already own.

The next steps

Our AI helper is Wise Option Spark. Spark will debut inside Wise Option 7 with scribing and prompt templates, then voice dictation, then practice level analytics, and later optional benchmarking if the community supports it. Beta invitations and setup details are coming soon. If you have questions or want to raise a specific privacy scenario, reach out. We want your feedback as we finish the rollout.
